Dr. Jeff DeYoung, D.C., C.C.S.P. has over 30 years of experience and is a certified chiropractic sports practitioner, so not only is he very effective at treating your neck, back and related symptoms, he is also very effective and experienced at treating shoulder and upper extremity, as well as lower extremity symptoms and injuries. He uses hands on diversified adjustment techniques, as well as ArthroStim. He also utilizes therapeutic modalities such as muscle stimulation, ultrasound, intersegmental traction and teaches rehabilitative exercises to be performed at home or the gym. What you won't get is a high pressure technique or contracts. No extended report of findings. Just great chiropractic care here in South Austin.
Dr. DeYoung graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1991. He became a certified sports physician in 1994 after taking 120 hours of post graduate courses and passing a nationally certified test. Dr. DeYoung had also been certified to perform manipulation under anesthesia in 2002.
Prior to moving to Austin in 2018, Dr. DeYoung worked for 5 years as the Medical Director of a multidisciplinary office specializing in pain management where he was recruited to run the therapy department as well as assist the medical doctors in the diagnosis and treatment plan of patients. Before being recruited to move back to California, Dr. DeYoung had a successful family practice in Gainesville, Georgia for 8 years. Dr. DeYoung established himself in the North Georgia medical community by connecting with various medical specialties with the purpose of bringing the best possible care to the patient community. Prior to moving to Georgia, Dr. DeYoung was the director of therapy in a multidisciplinary practice in Orange County, California for five years with orthopedic surgeons, pain management specialist, neurologist, podiatrist and physical therapist under one roof. He also had a successful family and sports rehabilitation practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado for six years.
Through the years he's worked with professional bodybuilders, pro football and baseball players, PBR riders, Olympic athletes, triathletes, and was involved with the 2014, 2015 and 2016 medical team for the US Open of Surfing treating the professional skateboarder and BMX competitors. Currently he is using his knowledge and experience treating patients in the Austin, Texas area. In his spare time Dr. DeYoung enjoys golfing, mountain biking, hiking, and is a former competitive bodybuilder and continues to workout 5 days a week.
