ADVANCED ALLERGY THERAPEUTICS

A Comprehensive Look at Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT)

Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT) offers a unique and highly effective approach to treating the many symptoms associated with allergies and sensitivities. AAT is a precision-based therapy that treats the organ systems involved in an overreaction. AAT does not treat the immune system; instead, the therapy focuses on inappropriate reactions to harmless substances in relation to the organ systems, producing rapid, long-term relief of associated symptoms.

AAT merges 21st-century science with 3,000-year-old traditional acupuncture and modern chiropractic principles, offering an effective alternative for the treatment of symptoms associated with allergies and sensitivities.

NON-INVASIVE • NO NEEDLES • NO HERBAL REMEDIES • NO SUPPLEMENTS

UNDERSTANDING ALLERGIES & SENSITIVITIES

Not Every Reaction Is a True Allergy

Allergies and sensitivities are caused by inappropriate reactions to harmless substances. The word “allergy” comes from the Greek “allos,” meaning “other.” It was first used in 1906 to refer to an “altered reaction” in the body’s immune system.

A “true allergy” is a reaction triggered by the immune system. However, there are numerous symptoms or conditions caused by sensitivities that may or may not involve the immune system.

When it comes to reactions involving food, a large percentage of the population believes they have allergies, yet fewer than 2% actually have true allergies. In fact, many suffer from undiagnosed food sensitivities or intolerances.

The majority of patients seeking AAT treatment do not have true allergies; their symptoms are likely caused by sensitivities with no immune involvement. Since there are few options for treating sensitivities other than avoidance, AAT provides a highly effective alternative. Symptoms caused by true allergies also respond well to the treatment, as the organ systems involved in the reaction are also addressed.

The use of the word “allergy” has become a generic term used by the public to describe allergies, sensitivities and intolerances.

WHAT IS AAT?

A Precision-Based Approach to Allergies & Sensitivities

Advanced Allergy Therapeutics (AAT) is a clinically proven treatment that is highly effective in treating the many symptoms associated with allergies and sensitivities. It was developed through over 28 years of collaborative research by healthcare professionals in the fields of acupuncture, naturopathy, and chiropractic.

What makes AAT different is that it doesn’t rely on medication, herbal remedies, or supplements. And the best part? It’s completely safe and painless and is available to people of all ages, so everyone can benefit from this therapeutic approach.

AAT treatments work directly with the relationship between the major organ systems and overreactions to harmless substances. While the immune system is responsible for initiating an immune reaction in the case of true allergies, it is the health and state of the organ systems that often determines the type of symptoms that may arise.

When it comes to sensitivities and allergies, symptoms typically stem from the organ system affected.

When it comes to reactions, using soybeans as an example, symptoms can vary greatly from person to person. For instance, one patient may experience rashes, while another may experience sinus congestion, heartburn, or even irritable bowel syndrome. Each of these symptoms represents a different organ system that is involved.

By focusing treatment on the specific organ system(s) involved in a reaction, the body is better equipped to respond more appropriately to a substance, which means fewer symptoms.

UNDERSTANDING AAT

The Connection Between Organ Systems & the Spine

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, treatment methods involve stimulating specific points on the body to directly access each organ system and improve its state. AAT takes this approach one step further by utilizing these points in a unique and innovative way.

The treatment points used are situated along the spine and correspond to the location of the sympathetic chain, which is responsible for the body’s “fight or flight” responses. By targeting reactive organ systems through these points in relation to an offending substance, it’s possible to alter a defensive reaction, allowing for a healthier response.

Precision-Based Acupressure

AAT uses a precision-based acupressure technique to access the organ systems rather than needles. This approach addresses defensive physiology with the goal of altering the state of the organ systems.

An Integrative Approach

AAT therapy was developed as an Integrative Medicine and is offered by certified AAT practitioners from a variety of healthcare backgrounds, including chiropractors, acupuncturists, naturopathic doctors, osteopaths, medical doctors, doctors of physical therapy, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and registered nurses.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING AN AAT TREATMENT?

A Non-Invasive, Precision-Based Process

During treatment, an AAT practitioner applies gentle pressure to specific points along the spine that correspond with the organ systems involved in a reaction.

During the point stimulation process, a digital representation of the offending substance is introduced to the skin’s surface through an arm cuff.

By stimulating specific points, stress on the affected organ systems can be reduced. Since the point stimulation and the substance exposure occur simultaneously, the body can form a new association with the item due to the decreased stress on the systems, no longer perceiving the substance as harmful and allowing for a more appropriate response.

In holistic medicine, treating the whole body is considered important to achieving optimal health. Various forms of stress and interference can disrupt proper functioning of the body. By reducing stress and interference, the specific organ system can be supported and the body can respond more effectively.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

AAT does not diagnose allergies, sensitivities or intolerances and does not replace traditional allergy testing.

AAT does not cure allergies or treat the immune system. The therapy is designed to address symptoms associated with allergies and sensitivities.

AAT does not treat anaphylaxis or life-threatening symptoms. Strict avoidance is always advised in these cases.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

RESULTS & TREATMENT

How soon will I see results?
Symptoms associated with a single substance are often improved or relieved after just 24 hours. Many conditions, such as sinusitis or irritable bowel syndrome, respond within the first few treatments. However, each case is unique and may require additional treatments. As with all healthcare modalities, some cases may not respond to treatment.

How many AAT treatments are required?
AAT treats one allergen family at a time, so the number of treatments depends on the number of allergen families involved in the reaction. Within each allergen family, the specificity is identified down to the protein molecule, making each treatment extremely comprehensive.

An allergen family could be something like dust, dairy or grasses. Within each family, AAT strives to identify the components causing a reaction.

Most of the time, a single allergen family will respond to treatment within a single visit, but multiple visits per family may be required. Conditions such as chronic sinusitis or IBS typically require between 5 and 12 treatments, depending on how many allergen families are contributing to the condition.

How long will the treatment results last?
AAT patients have consistently reported long-term results lasting for years after treatment. However, AAT cannot guarantee that new allergies or sensitivities won't develop in the future. In most cases, results have proven to be long-lasting.

Are there any guarantees that my symptoms will be relieved?
While we cannot offer guarantees, most patients experience long-term positive responses to AAT treatment. However, we cannot guarantee that new symptoms will not develop in the future.

How long are AAT sessions?

The initial session typically takes approximately 40 to 60 minutes and includes an assessment and one treatment. Follow-up sessions typically take 20 to 30 minutes and include one treatment.

Can more than one treatment be administered in a day?
Yes. Up to four AAT treatments can be administered per day, providing flexibility in the pace of treatment based on individual needs and budget.

 CONDITIONS & SYMPTOMS

Can AAT help with seasonal allergy symptoms?
AAT can address symptoms associated with seasonal allergies. Symptoms can occur during different seasons depending on the specific type of pollen involved and the time of year.

Spring: Trees
Summer: Grasses
Fall: Weeds

Common seasonal symptoms may include runny nose, itchy eyes, sneezing, congestion, headaches, fatigue and coughing.

Can AAT help with chronic sinusitis?
Allergies can contribute to persistent inflammation of the sinuses and mucus lining, increasing susceptibility to sinus issues and chronic sinusitis.

Common triggers may include dust, molds, fungus, pets, fragrances and environmental allergens.

Can AAT help with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)?
Food allergies and sensitivities may play a significant role in the development and exacerbation of IBS. Traditional management often involves dietary modification and avoiding offending foods, which can be challenging. AAT is designed to address symptoms associated with the sensitivities that may be contributing to the condition.

Common triggers may include dairy, wheat, sugar, yeast, salicylates, corn, soy and various food components.

Can AAT help with asthma symptoms?
AAT can address many irritants associated with asthmatic symptoms, particularly when allergies are involved.

Common triggers may include molds, dust, dust mites, pet dander, grass, pollens, fragrances and chemicals.

Exercise-induced asthma is different and may not respond to AAT because it does not necessarily stem from an inappropriate reaction to a harmless substance.

Can AAT help with eczema or other skin conditions?
When allergies or sensitivities contribute to skin symptoms, AAT may provide relief. Skin conditions associated with these reactions can include urticaria (hives), eczema, contact dermatitis and atopic dermatitis. In more severe cases, other factors may also be involved and improvement may be partial.

Common triggers may include foods, nickel, pet dander, fragrances, grass and chemicals in personal-care products.

Can AAT help with acid reflux symptoms?
Allergies and sensitivities can potentially trigger or exacerbate reflux symptoms. Acid reflux may occur at any time but is often experienced after eating.

Common triggers may include spicy foods, onions, citrus, tomatoes, fatty or fried foods, alcohol and carbonated beverages.

Can AAT help with food sensitivity symptoms?
Food sensitivities can contribute to a broad range of symptoms involving the digestive, respiratory and skin systems, as well as headaches, behavioral symptoms and inflammation.

Common triggers may include dairy, sugar, wheat, soy, corn, nuts, food components, food additives, alcohol and coffee.

This keeps the conditions and trigger information Jeff provided, while removing the dated population statistics and some of the more promotional language that isn't necessary to understand the treatment. The underlying topics and triggers come from the authorized AAT material.

Not all cases of these conditions are caused by allergies or sensitivities, and individual responses to AAT vary.

 APPOINTMENTS & WHAT TO EXPECT

Call RejuvitATX at (512) 442-7999 or book online. A doctor’s referral is not required.

SAFETY, LIMITATIONS & ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Important Information About AAT

How does AAT identify items for treatment?
AAT utilizes a specialized Stress Assessment, a refined form of Muscle Response Testing (MRT), to determine if a system in the body is responding inappropriately to a specific substance. This assessment helps identify items that may be causing stress on the body and what may need to be addressed during treatment.

Can food intolerances be treated with AAT?
No. Food intolerances cannot be treated with AAT. Unlike allergies or sensitivities, food intolerances are often caused by a deficiency, such as an enzyme deficiency that prevents the body from properly digesting a substance.

For example, lactose intolerance is caused by a deficiency of the lactase enzyme needed to break down lactose. While AAT cannot treat lactose intolerance, it may address symptoms associated with a separate dairy sensitivity when one is also present.

Can AAT treat anaphylaxis or life-threatening reactions?
No. RejuvitATX does not treat anaphylaxis or life-threatening symptoms with AAT. Strict avoidance is always advised in these cases.

Patients who experience anaphylactic reactions may still receive AAT treatment for other non-life-threatening sensitivities.

What other cases cannot be treated with AAT?
AAT is designed to address symptoms associated with inappropriate reactions to harmless substances or stimuli. Conditions caused by pathogens such as bacteria, viruses or parasites are not addressed by AAT.

AAT also does not treat intolerances caused by deficiencies or anaphylaxis and other life-threatening reactions.

Does AAT diagnose allergies or sensitivities?
No. AAT does not diagnose allergies, sensitivities or intolerances and does not provide conventional allergy testing. The AAT system assesses what may be causing stress to the body.

Does AAT treat the immune system?
No. AAT does not treat the immune system. Treatment focuses on inappropriate reactions to harmless substances in relation to the organ systems involved.

Are results guaranteed?
No. Results cannot be guaranteed. While many patients report positive, long-term responses to AAT treatment, some cases may not respond, and new allergies or sensitivities may develop in the future.
